Florida licensed landscape architect Orlando Comas is nearing his fifty years enjoying a career in landscape design. He owns the compelling enthusiasm of creating outdoor environments for a select clientele.  His dedication has taken him to South, Central America, the Caribbean and South Florida. Everyday he looks forward to his daily synthesis process of combining experience, the natural environment, new materials, and the pleasure of offering his clients fresh new ideas. 

His first professional steps were in Miami during the early seventies. In the mid-seventies a new project venture prompted his move and open his Caracas studio where he worked on private homes, public parks and resort hotels for a span of ten years. Simultaneously his interest in nature and plants led him to start the nursery which became the largest privately owned nursery in Venezuela.  

The South Florida studio was opened in 1996. Where he is committed to providing his Clients with full service landscape architecture. Most projects include the design of both hardscape and landscape. Hardscape being the design of all outdoor tangible features such as swimming pools, spas, decks, wood decks, driveway, walkways, water features and fountains as well as grading, drainage, irrigation and landscape lighting. Landscape being the vegetative part of landscape architecture.  

A member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and Treasurer of the Society of Registered Architects, his work has been featured prominently in local, national and international publications and has been bestowed with multiple awards. Each job brings the unique opportunity of providing design proficiency and expand his oeuvre by integrating experience, new materials and working hand in hand with clients lifestyles and preferences. He has successfully completed over four hundred commissions and collaborated with renowned architects, designers and fellow landscape architects on the international level and on a very wide range of construction and landscape design projects.
